
Kumar Ramurthy

Before joining Bayswater, Dr. Ramurthy worked for Halliburton for 21 years; held several positions while at Halliburton, most recently as their Director of Technology for North America. While at Halliburton, he won the Western Hemisphere Technology Manager of the year award twice (2013 and 2015) and Western Hemisphere MVP Award (2010). Dr. Ramurthy, in addition to serving in multiple SPE technical committees, served as a technical editor for the SPE Production & Operations and SPE Reservoir Engineering Journals. He co-authored a chapter on refracs in the recently published SPE Monograph Series titled “Hydraulic Fracturing: Fundamentals and Advancements”; and a CBM Textbook titled “Coalbed Methane: Principles and Practices” in 2008. Dr. Ramurthy also authored 16 SPE papers, holds 3 patents and was awarded SPE Regional Completion Optimization Technology Award for the Rockies in 2010. Along with Dr. Barree, he taught the “Unconventional Reservoir Stimulation: CBM and Shales” class in the USA, Canada, Columbia, Australia, Indonesia, and India. He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Annamalai University, India, M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State University, and his doctorate in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming.

Kris Belcher

Mr. Belcher joined Bayswater in February 2017. For the prior decade, he worked Anadarko Petroleum Corporation’s conventional and unconventional properties throughout the Rocky Mountain region, including the Union Pacific Railroad Land Grant in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah; Wattenberg Field and the greater Denver-Julesburg Basin; the Powder River Basin; and Natural Buttes Field in the Uinta Basin. His tenure culminated as Land Manager of Wyoming and Utah Assets, where he managed a team of Landmen and Analysts responsible for more than 6 million acres, along with exploration and horizontal development programs in several fields. From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Belcher worked as a contract Landman for Teton Energy, Focus Energy, and Bill Barrett Corporation. Prior to entering the oil and natural gas industry, Mr. Belcher was a Senior Consultant at BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting) where he specialized in process reengineering, quality assurance, and system implementations for US and UK telecommunications companies. Mr. Belcher received a B.S. in Business with a minor in Studio Art from Skidmore College.

Gil Guethlein

Ms. Guethlein has ten years of experience in oil and natural gas, during which time she has transacted on over $1B in properties. As Land Manager at Bayswater, she drives returns by administering the land portfolio, negotiating accretive contracts, advising on business risk, and fostering industry relationships, primarily in the Permian Basin. Ms. Guethlein previously managed DJ Basin Land Business Development at Anadarko and worked the Fayetteville, Haynesville, and Marcellus shale plays at BP America. She has a B.S. and J.D. from the University of Texas, is licensed to practice law in Texas and Colorado, sits on the board of Denver Association of Professional Landmen, and is an alumna of the Latino Leadership Institute.
